Given the high prices of new releases these days, I think the demand for used records is increasing among collectors and DJs. This time, I played a mix of used records purchased at ELLA and new releases in my own unique style.
- Can you tell us about your approach to creating mixes?
I will select three pivotal records that will serve as peaks within the hour, and I will curate the rest of the playlist to ebb and flow around them.
- What methods do you prefer when searching for new music? Do you still enjoy browsing for music in record stores, or have you come to prefer online purchases?I regularly check and purchase records online, but my favorite thing is to buy mysterious records that I've never seen in record stores, especially when they are second-hand. These records hold a strong personal attachment for me.
- Besides DJing, what stimulates your creativity?
Cooking.
- Do you have any advice for those looking to start a career as a DJ?
Enjoying oneself is crucial, I think! DJs who love and enjoy music are captivating regardless of whether they are new to the field or seasoned professionals.
- What plans do you have for 2024?
I want to continue my activities while valuing connections in Asia, including my affiliation with COWBOY FAMILY RECORDS.
