- Could you share the thoughts and ideas behind this mix?
I composed the mix with tracks that are rarely played in clubs. Although I personally like them, I don't play them often, which made this a bold challenge. I wanted to capture and showcase a different side of myself through this mix.
- Can you tell us about your approach to creating mixes?
I spend a lot of time clarifying the story and emotions behind my mix. Currently, my mixing skills are not where I want them to be, so I'm actively working on improving them.
- What methods do you prefer when searching for new music? Do you still enjoy browsing for music in record stores, or have you come to prefer online purchases?
I generally love the atmosphere of a space filled with records, so I often visit record stores. However, just relying on that limits the amount of music I can discover, so I also listen to mixes and read books to expand my musical horizons.
- Besides DJing, what stimulates your creativity?
I enjoy taking walks, consciously choosing paths I haven't been on before. I also like reading books, especially those on philosophy, autobiographies, architecture, academic subjects, and history.
- Do you have any advice for those looking to start a career as a DJ?
Don't conform to the existing scene; instead, do what you think is cool. I believe this shapes both your musicality and personality. Of course, I'm still on that journey myself.
- What plans do you have for 2024?
Releasing my debut single and creating a field recording album.
