AFTER HOURS SESSION

Jaehan

- Could you share the thoughts and ideas behind this mix?

Since it wasn't a play at a club, I wanted to play egoistically. However, despite that, I wanted to create a harmony between my ego and the invisible audience.

- Can you tell us about your approach to creating mixes?

I focus on selecting the next track that can naturally connect with the current one. However, I want to throw in some curveballs here and there to give a sense of something twisted or off-kilter

- What methods do you prefer when searching for new music? Do you still enjoy browsing for music in record stores, or have you come to prefer online purchases?

I love the act of going to record shops itself.  On my days off, I love going to record shops, listening to new music, and spending time alone. It's a routine I cherish.

- Besides DJing, what stimulates your creativity?

I enjoy taking walks. It helps wake up my brain.

- Do you have any advice for those looking to start a career as a DJ?

I'm not at a point where I can give advice, and this question is difficult. However, I hope that more and more people will get involved in this scene. I think that’s the only way it will stay active and vibrant in the long run. Playing the music I love brings me happiness. Even though there are failures along the way, I believe that process is part of continuous growth. I want more people to share this journey and grow together.

- What plans do you have for 2025?

I want to focus on the Herv party I'm working on with Shinyoung, Seo.D, and Youknowsong at Modeci. I also want to challenge myself with producing music. It seems like a process that will take a long time, but I think it's an exciting challenge.
