- Could you share the thoughts and ideas behind this mix?
These days, many modern people, including me, have difficulty concentrating on their daily lives due to their constant anxiety. This mix is composed of various music in one place so that people with ADHD can listen comfortably without being bored and having fun.
- Can you tell us about your approach to creating mixes?
Rather than trying to get ready for a set at some point, if I find good music at that time, I'm doing it by collecting it. When I make a mix, I'm making a mix by thinking about the direction I want to express, taking out several records and continuing the conversation one by one, rather than choosing sophisticated and delicate songs one by one.
- What methods do you prefer when searching for new music? Do you still enjoy browsing for music in record stores, or have you come to prefer online purchases?
I prefer both. I buy records first and then go home to explore more about them online if I go to the store and find out about a new label or artist I don't know. And if there's a record that I like, I also buy it online. But I'm still more interested in records that I meet unexpectedly offline.
- Besides DJing, what stimulates your creativity?
I've been playing guitar for a long time and get a lot of ideas from music played live, not sequenced music. When I'm DJing, I often organize it like a band's performance set list. And these days, I get a lot of inspiration from my girlfriend for creativity. Her advice and opinions, which are more artistic than mine, always come to mind when something is important and inspires me a lot.
- Do you have any advice for those looking to start a career as a DJ?
Look far and wide. Life is long and the world is wide. And spend each day faithfully enjoying it.
- What plans do you have for 2024?
I still want to release a new album and also I want to do a lot of tours with the album. I hope Arga Seoul, which is directing now, will be more established. Lastly, I want to go to Japan more as always.
