Founded in 1989, Parade takes its name from Prince’s album Parade and Tatsuro Yamashita’s song Parade. Owner Osamu Kinouchi became passionate about records during his student years, developing a deep love for progressive and German rock. After working at the second-hand record store TIME, he used his experience to open his own shop.
Every record in the store is carefully cleaned and well-maintained, making Parade a perfect fit for Mitaka, a city rich in music and culture. With Kinouchi’s warm personality, visitors are sure to enjoy a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere.
