Manhattan Records is a well-established record store located in Shibuya Udagawa-cho, Tokyo. It opened in 1980 and has been operating in Shibuya ever since. Although it is now known as one of the sacred places for hip-hop in Japan, legend has it that when the store was first established, it rented a tatami room in one of the condominiums. The carefully selected lineup of hip-hop classics from each era is well worth a visit.
