ginger2(dos)
Located on the second floor of a small building, ginger2 houses not only a cozy café, but also a 7-inch vinyl specialty shop called 45rpm.tokyo, as well as a used bookstore called Shitamachi Bunko. With a curated selection of around 2,000 domestic 7-inch records, the shop showcases the high sound quality and rare finds unique to the format.
Owner Satoshi Takayama runs the space as a hub for sharing his extensive music collection and promoting the cultural and historical richness of the local area. The café regularly hosts events themed around hit songs from various eras, making it a fun and nostalgic experience for visitors of all generations.
With great food and loud analog soundtracks—mainly rock and film scores—the café attracts music lovers from across Japan and abroad. Whether you're into digging for rare singles or soaking in retro vibes, ginger2 offers a unique experience where music, memory, and time come together.
