BEATNIK GROOVE STORE

BEATNIK GROOVE is a music shop founded by owner Goto in 2020. The shop’s name is inspired by Beat Generation poet Allen Ginsberg and the “groovy” vibes of soul and funk music. Goto’s passion for music stems from his childhood experience of having a record store right across from his house and his involvement in the mix-band “BRAIN SHAKE VIBRATION.” BEATNIK GROOVE serves as a community space where music lovers and artists come together, offering not only records but also art and T-shirts. Looking ahead, Goto aims to invigorate the music scene in Nishi-Ogikubo, with plans for organizing music festivals, and establishing live houses and recording studios.
