We’re giving a tribute to 88 creative musicians on 77 tracks over the age of 65 who are still actively releasing music and performing live today.
To give you a sense of each musician’s "present," we've selected songs as much as possible from their most recent releases. The playlist is arranged in order of youngest to oldest, and we've also prepared a list with their birthdays. While it may seem impolite to focus on their ages, we believe this approach highlights just how impressive each of these artists truly is.
From avant-garde pioneers still going strong, to steadfast artists who maintain their unshakable style, and those whose expressions grow deeper as they embrace aging—human creativity is truly remarkable. Let’s pay our utmost respect to all the veteran musicians, including those we couldn’t fit into this selection!
